A dental prosthesis is a dental procedure that uses a dental bridge, a type of framework that is attached to implants, to replace lost teeth. A dental prosthesis can be made with a zirconia bridge or dentures.
A metal frame (which is the prosthesis itself) is fixed to four implants in the lower (or upper) jawbone to stabilise the denture.
The great advantage of this solution is that the denture resembles a removable bridge, but is fixed in a stable position by the bridge. With a bridgework restoration, a new denture is placed in the area of the missing tooth to improve aesthetics, chewing and speech.
