TEMPORARY CROWNS/BRIDGES PMMA
PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) temporary crowns are a type of dental prosthesis used as a temporary solution during dental treatments.
Temporary crowns are usually made from a type of plastic or composite material, such as PMMA, and are used to protect the tooth die before the permanent restoration is made and fitted. These crowns are usually used when the patient's tooth replacement of choice takes time to prepare and fit (e.g. zirconia or all-ceramic crowns).
Temporary crowns help to prevent tooth sensitivity, preserve the aesthetic appearance and help to stabilise the position and bite of the tooth during treatment.
